Oppo Reno 13 Pro is the new and second Oppo Reno series smartphone of 2024 which was released in China on November 25, 2024, before this Oppo released Reno 12 Pro on May 23, 2024.

Oppo Reno series is generally famous for its cameras and premium design but now Oppo has made a huge upgrade in performance by adding the new MediaTek Dimensity 8350 processor which makes the smartphone twice as fast as its predecessor Oppo Reno 12 Pro which comes with Dimensity 7300 processor. The second upgrade done by Oppo is in the design which is new beautiful premium design with new color options and there is also an upgrade in the battery with new Si-C battery type which has a bigger 5800mAh capacity and Oppo has upgraded a lot of things in Reno 13 Pro like camera, display etc which we will talk about but first let’s take a look at the key specifications of Oppo Reno13 Pro.

Oppo has upgraded the design of every smartphone in the Reno series with new color options and not just giving the same design with little changes and now Oppo has upgraded the design of Reno 13Pro with a new aluminum alloy side frame which is a textured frame and this frame is 3 times stronger than the previous one and 36% bend resistant.
The design is mainly focused on female buyers because most of the buyers are women and so some cute color options have been added to it which are new Midnight Black, Starlight Pink, Butterfly Purple which make the smartphone look cute and premium. Talking about dimensions, the Reno13 Pro is slightly bigger in size than the Reno 12 Pro measuring 162.8 mm (6.41 inches) in length, 76.6 mm (3.02 inches) in width, 7.6 mm (0.30 inches) in thickness and weighs 197 grams which is 17 grams heavier than the Reno 12 Pro.
There is a new camera module at the back which has triple cameras with LED flash and it looks very beautiful and the back cover is made from a whole piece of glass through cold sculpture. Looking at the front of the OppoReno13Pro, it has a center punch hole camera and a 6.85-inch display with 90.9% screen to body ratio due to 1.61 mm small bezels which looks absolutely premium and beautiful.
There are power and volume buttons on the right side, the left side is blank. There is a microphone, IR sensor and speaker on the top and a microphone, speaker, USB Type C 2.0 port and SIM card slot with dual nano SIM support on the bottom. The Oppo Reno 13 Pro comes with IP68/IP69 water/dust resistant rating, before its predecessor Reno 12 Pro was given an IP65 rating.

The next thing we are talking about is the display, Oppo has upgraded the quality of the display and also increased the size. Earlier Oppo Reno 12 Pro has a 6.7 inch FHD AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh and it has 394ppi density and now the display has been upgraded in Reno13Pro which is a new 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display. This display has a 120Hz refresh and it does not have LTPO (1-120Hz) technology but it can be adjusted to 3 adaptive refresh rates which is 60/90/120Hz. It has a 240Hz touch sampling rate and 3840Hz high frequency PWM dimming which protects eyes in dark environments and it also supports HDR10+.
The display quality is absolutely better than the Reno 12 Pro as it has a 1.5K resolution and 450ppi density which makes the display clearer and it also has 10-bit color depth which shows up to 1.07 billion colors. Talking about the brightness, the oppo 13 Pro has 600nits default maximum brightness, 1200nits peak brightness.

As we mentioned earlier that Oppo smartphone usually focuses on its camera and design, not on performance but now Oppo has also upgraded the performance of the smartphone by adding a new flagship level chip which is the new MediaTek Dimensity 8350 processor this processor is an octa core processor based on 4nm architecture and has the new Mali G615-MC6 GPU. The performance of this processor is twice that of Dimensity 7300 which is used in its predecessor Oppo Reno 12 Pro smartphone.

SOFTWARE AI & CONNECTIVITY
Oppo Reno 13 Pro comes with Android 15 Color OS 15 in China and it will get up to 3 years of major Android upgrades and Oppo has also introduced some AI features in Reno 13 Pro which are Smart Documents, Smart Notes, One Click Screen Query, AI Writing, One Circle Question. Talking about connectivity it has Bluetooth 5.4 and WiFi 6 connectivity and Oppo has also added new self developed Oppo X1 network chip which helps in catching more WiFi signals

After the processor the big upgrade is in the battery, this battery comes with a new Si-C battery type and it is 800mAh bigger than the Reno 12 Pro and it has a smaller size and its capacity is 5800mAh. This battery supports 80W wired charging which will charge the smartphone to 100% in 0:58 hours and it also supports 50W wireless charging.

There is a triple camera setup at the back consisting of a 50MP OiS main camera with Sony IMX890 (1/1.56") sensor, a 50MP OiS telephoto lens with 3.5X optical zoom, an 8MP ultrawide with 116° field of view and a 50MP selfie camera on the front.
The main camera on the Reno 13 Pro is the same as the main camera on the Reno 12 Pro with the same image sensor and focal length but the upgrade is in the telephoto lens which has a new 50MP OiS with 3.5x optical zoom while the Reno 12 Pro has a 50MP OiS telephoto with 2x optical zoom and there is also an upgrade in the ultrawide camera which has 4° more field of view but the selfie camera is the same.
