Honor 300 Ultra

Honor 300 Ultra is the first Ultra smartphone from Honor in this series, previously Honor released Honor 200 and Honor 200 Pro on May 27, 2024 and there is no Ultra version available in Honor 200 series and now Honor has released Ultra version in Honor 300 series. Honor 300 Ultra was released in China on December 02, 2024 and the smartphone is yet to be released globally.

Honor 300 Ultra is a midrange smartphone so Honor uses the 2023 flagship processor in honor300 ultra which is Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and there is also a big upgrade in the cameras, the smartphone is focusing big on the cameras with a new 3.8x optical zoom telephoto lens which is only available in the Ultra version of the Honor 300 series and there is also an upgrade in the display with the new eight eye protection modes, bigger capacity battery and fast charging and software with many AI features and there are a lot more things which we will talk about and we will also compare it with Honor 300 Pro which is the smaller version of Honor 300 Ultra but before that let's take a look at the key specifications of the Honor 300 Ultra smartphone.

Honor 300 Ultra uses a new and very beautiful design with a different premium looking camera module which has never been used in any smartphone before, the smartphone looks premium but the frame here is made of plastic and the sides come with a thickness of 8.2mm but Honor uses a curved design which blends with the back material and which looks premium as well.

Taking a look at the dimensions of the Honor 300 Ultra, the smartphone has the same dimensions as the Honor 300 which measures 163.8 mm (6.45 inches) in length, 75.3 mm (2.96 inches) in width, 8.2 mm (0.32 inches) in thickness and the weight of the Honor 300 Ultra is 198 grams (6.98oz) or 199 grams for the Leather version or Glass version.

Taking a look at the front side of the Honor 300 Ultra, it has a capsule shape camera module that houses the selfie camera, 3D depth sensor and it has a 6.78-inch curved display with Rhino Glass protection and 90.4% screen to body ratio and Honor has also added a 3D ultrasonic in display fingerprint scanner to the Honor 300 Ultra. On the back side, there is a new and different shaped camera module which you can see in the image and it has triple cameras with long LED flash. The back is made up of two materials, one is a glass back which comes with a black color option and the other is an eco leather back which comes with a white color option.

There are power and volume buttons on the right side, the left side is blank and there is speaker, microphone and IR sensor on the top and speaker, USB Type C 2.0 port, microphone and SIM card slot with dual nano SIM support on the bottom. The Honor 300 Ultra has two colour options: black, white and it comes with IP65 dust and water resistant rating.

Honor 300 Ultra comes with a new 6.78 inch 1.5K AMOLED display. This display has a 120Hz refresh rate that supports 60/90/120Hz adaptive refresh rate and has a 240Hz touch sampling rate, 3840Hz higher PWM dimming that protects eyes in dark environments. This display supports HDR10+ and 10 bit color depth that shows up to 1.07 billion colors and has 437ppi density. Talking about brightness, Honor 300 Ultra has 1200nits HBM brightness and 4000nits peak brightness.

The only difference between Honor 300 Ultra and Honor 300 Pro is the cameras, otherwise everything is the same. Honor 300 Ultra has a triple camera setup on the back consisting of a 50MP OiS main camera with Sony MIX906 (1/1.56") sensor, 50MP OiS periscope telephoto with 3.8x optical zoom and this camera comes with IMX858 (1/2.51") sensor and it supports up to 100x digital zoom, 12MP ultrawide with 112° field of view and 50MP selfie camera, 2MP depth on the front.
