Oppo launched its new foldable smartphone in 2025, the Oppo Find N5, which is the thinnest foldable smartphone from the brand. It was released on February 19, 2025, and became available on February 26. The Oppo Find N5 features all the flagship capabilities of 2025, including the powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, which is truly impressive. Additionally, the smartphone boasts an 8.12-inch foldable LTPO AMOLED display, offering exceptional quality. Other highlights include advanced cameras, a large battery, and a slim 4.2mm design, among many other features that we’ll explore.
Oppo Find N5 Design and Colors
The Oppo Find N5 features the thinnest foldable design, with an aluminum alloy frame. When opened, its thickness is just 4.2mm, while folded, it has a thickness of 8.9mm. The device weighs 229 grams. In terms of dimensions, the Oppo Find N5 measures 160.9mm (6.34 inches) in length and 145.6mm (5.73 inches) in width when opened. When folded, its length remains 160.9mm (6.34 inches), but its width narrows to 74.4mm (2.93 inches), and the thickness increases to 8.9mm (0.35 inches). Additionally, the Oppo Find N5 comes with an IPX8/IPX9 water and dust resistance rating.
Opening the smartphone, we see a 8.12-inch display on the front with a side punch-hole camera. This display boasts a screen-to-body ratio of 90.4%. On the back, there's a circular camera module with triple cameras and an LED flash. The back offers two material options: a glass back available in Cosmic Black and Misty White, and an eco-leather back in Dusk Purple. Additionally, there's a 6.62-inch cover display on the back, also featuring a center punch-hole camera and protected by nano-crystal glass.
Regarding the buttons and ports (when unfolded), the right side features a power button, volume buttons, and a fingerprint scanner, while the left side has an alert slider. On the top, you'll find a microphone and speaker, and on the bottom, there's another microphone, speaker, USB Type-C 3.1 Gen 2 port, and a SIM card slot supporting dual nano SIM or dual e-SIM.

Oppo find n5 comes with two displays, first we talk about the cover display which is 6.62-inch LTPO AMOLED display with 1140 x 2616 pixels resolution. This was 120Hz refresh rate with adjustable refresh rate from 1 Hz to 120Hz and it has 240Hz touch sampling rate and has 431ppi density. This display also supports HDR10+, Dolby Vision and 10 bit color depth which supports up to 1.07 billion colors. Talking about brightness, oppo find n5 has 1600nits HBM brightness and up to 2540nits peak brightness.
The second display is an 8.12-inch LTPO AMOLED screen with a resolution of 2248 x 2480 pixels. It also supports a 120Hz refresh rate with LTPO technology, a 240Hz touch sampling rate, and a 412 PPI density. This display offers the same features as the cover display, but there is a difference in brightness. It has 1400 nits HBM brightness and up to 2100 nits peak brightness.
Oppo Find N5 Performance and Software
The Oppo Find N5 is powered by Snapdragon's most powerful processor, the Snapdragon 8 Elite. Typically, this processor is an octa-core unit, but for the Oppo Find N5, it has been customized into a seven-core configuration. It is built on a 3nm architecture and features an Adreno 830 GPU. The cores include 2 at 4.32 GHz (Orion V2 Phoenix L) and 5 at 3.53 GHz (Orion V2 Phoenix M). Additionally, the device is equipped with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage.

Oppo Find N5 Camera
The next cool feature we're discussing is the camera setup. The device features a triple camera system on the back: a 50MP (f/1.9) OIS main camera with a Sony LYT-700C (1/1.56") sensor, a 50MP (f/2.7) OIS telephoto camera with 3X optical zoom, equipped with a Samsung S5KJN5 (1/2.76") sensor, and an 8MP ultrawide camera offering a 116° field of view with a 1/4.0" sensor. The front camera setup includes both a cover and main 8MP camera, also with a 1/4.0" sensor. The rear camera can record up to 4K video at 60fps, while the front camera can record 4K video at 30fps.
